One of the dangers of fly fishing is falling into the water and onto rocks. As we get older the rocks seem to become more slippery and the water more swift. For young and for old a wading staff is advised.
Each wading staff is hand made from locally grown hardwood. The grips are contoured and made from sturdy hemp rope. The unevenness of the hemp assures a good grip. A stretchable tether is standard and is fitted with a durable plastic snap to fasten to a D-ring or belt loop. The butt end is covered with an easily replaced rubber tip that allows good contact with the bottom of the stream. The rubber tip makes the wading staff stealthy to allow quiet approaches to the wily trout.
